Sa Tuo Travel’s warm reminder to prepare items and precautions when traveling to Tibet

1. Tibet has strong sunshine and relatively dry climate, so you should bring some sunscreen, skin care products, and lip balm. For a relatively comfortable journey, please bring a hat, sunglasses, and comfortable travel shoes.

2. The current temperature has a large temperature difference between morning and evening. It is recommended to bring a thicker jacket (such as a light down jacket, the kind found in Uniqlo)

3. Please remember to bring your usual medicines.

Things to note

1. Plateau and altitude sickness are not terrible. Overcoming the fear of altitude with a good attitude is the best medicine to prevent altitude sickness. Altitude sickness is like motion sickness. It has nothing to do with your physical fitness. How many times in your life can you come to the snowy plateau? How many people can feel altitude sickness? Altitude sickness is also an experience when traveling to Tibet. It must be strategically Despise it.

2. Regarding anti-altitude reaction drugs, before coming to the plateau, taking Rhodiola rosea oral liquid or something may reduce stress; if the reaction is severe, take Gaoyuanan, Danshen dripping pills, oxygen inhalation, infusion, etc. appropriately in the first two days after arriving on the plateau. Effectively relieve altitude sickness and heart stress. (Satuo has prepared over-the-counter anti-altitude drugs and Chinese patent medicines to prevent colds)

3. Move slowly, don’t be too hasty, eat less and drink more water. This is what you should do in the first two days on the plateau, because moving too fast and eating too much will consume oxygen. (Satuo has prepared medical oxygen in the car) Our company recommends that you try to adapt yourself to high reflexes, and it is not recommended to inhale oxygen if it is not necessary.

4. It’s not necessary to not take a shower when you first arrive at the plateau. The key is to be careful not to catch a cold. Although we think catching a cold on the plateau is not as terrible as the legend says, you are always the one who feels uncomfortable when you catch a cold. The temperature difference on the plateau is huge. You still have to take a shower. If you are not sure, you may catch cold easily. So I suggest you wait a day or two before talking.

5. Patients with severe high blood pressure and heart disease should not enter Tibet. This is the doctor’s advice.

6. Offering hada is the most common etiquette among Tibetan people. It means welcoming, sincerity and loyalty to others. Satu's driver and travel steward will give you a white hada when you arrive at the airport. Welcome and best wishes to you.

7. You are not allowed to enter the Buddhist temple of the temple without permission. This is especially important in some remote temples. Smoking is not allowed after entering the temple. It is okay to look at things in the temple, but you are not allowed to touch or point with your fingers. You are not allowed to take pictures without permission. In some places, you are not allowed to travel counterclockwise. Women are not allowed to enter some tantric temples. In Tibet, scriptures, lamas, and temples are not respected. Temple fairs were blamed. When passing temples, flagpoles, Mani piles, and pagodas, you must circle clockwise. Don't fart in the temple.

8. Respect local Tibetan customs and habits. It is taboo to spit, clap your hands, or fart in front of or behind others.

9. Do not cross the ritual objects or braziers. The prayer tube and the prayer wheel are not allowed to be reversed, and it is taboo for others to touch the top of the head with their hands.
