1. Before coming to China, applicants should check whether the visa is valid and whether the number of entries has been sufficient. If the visa has expired or the number of entries is insufficient, applicants must reapply in time.
2. The purpose of entry needs to be genuine. After entering China, you are not allowed to engage in activities unrelated to the reasons declared when applying for a visa. You cannot work, study, etc. in China with an L visa.
3. If you want to bring animals, plants, currency and other items into the country, you must undergo health quarantine and comply with the relevant regulations of the customs and financial regulatory authorities.
4. You must not overstay your stay in China. If you need to extend your stay, you must go to the local public security agency to apply for an extension 7 days before the expiration of your stay.
5. Register for foreigners’ temporary accommodation in a timely manner within 24 hours after entering the country to avoid being punished.
The fifth point should be paid special attention to, and it is also the most easily overlooked point. Many people do not understand the consequences of not registering accommodation.
According to Article 39 of the "Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China" and other provisions, when foreigners stay in hotels within the territory of China, the hotel must register their accommodation in accordance with the relevant regulations on the public security management of the hotel industry and report it to the local public security agency. If a foreigner lives or stays in a residence other than a hotel, he or the person staying there must register with the police station of the public security organ at the place of residence within 24 hours after checking in.
According to Article 76 of the "Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People's Republic of China", foreigners who fail to register their accommodation in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 2 of Article 39 of this Law shall be given a warning and may be fined not more than 2,000 yuan.
If a hotel fails to register foreigners' accommodation in accordance with regulations, it will be punished in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Public Security Administration Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China"; if it fails to submit foreigner accommodation registration information to the public security organs in accordance with regulations, it will be given a warning; if the circumstances are serious, it will be punished A fine of not less than 1,000 yuan but not more than 5,000 yuan is imposed.
