景点介绍

Gyantse Zongshan Castle is also called Gyantse Castle and Gyantse Zongshan Castle. It is located in Gyantse County, Tibet. Because the stone mountain where the castle is located is called Zongshan, "Zong", which in the past was an administrative unit in Tibet, equivalent to a county. So this castle is actually the county seat. Before the democratic reform, Tibet's state and religion were unified. The county government was both an official government and a monastery, with a strong religious overtone. The castle can actually be said to be a palace-style monastery. Gyantse is a basin with very developed agriculture. Among the lush colors, an ocher-yellow stone mountain suddenly rises up, and a castle with white walls and red roof rises suddenly from the stone mountain, which makes it particularly prominent and eye-catching.
